  • Fantastic food and noodle. Best Chinese Chongqing noodle in SD. I finished too fast and I haven’t had a chance to take a picture beforehand.

  • This is in a small strip mall across Cheetahs. Parking is always full but they do have street parking on Mercury Rd. Inside the restaurant was small but they were able to seat 8 of us. I ordered the braised noodle soup and it was delicious. We also had the cucumber salad and it was very tasty and refreshing. We, also, had the spicy crispy pork. It was nice and crispy and the salt dip on the side was very good. The place only had one server but she was so graceful in helping everyone and always had a smile. Will definitely come back here again to try other dishes

  • Stopped in for a bite to eat on the way home from San Diego Airport- after dropping off the family I needed some comfort food that wouldn’t be totally unhealthy. What a great find! This is really authentic Chinese food and I was so pleased with the quality and layered flavors. The service was outstanding. The lunchtime diners were also friendly. My server was great and giving me suggestions because this isn’t American-Chinese fare, so no sweet & sour pork combos. Don’t let that stop you because the place packs a tasty punch! I had some of the best sautéed cabbage ever and I am of heritages that have an international monopoly on cabbage cuisines. I followed with a spicy dumpling dish and steamed rice. I left full and satisfied. The fact that the owner was wearing a Tshirt in honor of veterans made the whole, impromptu stop even better. So glad Google maps helped me find the place. I definitely recommend this lovely spot for a yummy meal.

  • Spicy Noodle – Generous Portions and Authentic Flavors in Kearny Mesa Located in a busy plaza in Kearny Mesa, Spicy Noodle is surprisingly quiet during weekday noons and even manageable during weekend lunch hours—on a Sunday visit, about half the tables were still available. The menu focuses on Chongqing-style noodles and offers several combo options. I tried the Special Sauce Noodles with peas, which came with a large portion of noodles but had minimal pork and a rather heavy sauce. The combo includes a noodle dish, one small side, and a drink. I also tried the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, which came with a satisfying portion of lean-cut beef and two small pieces of bok choy. Note that there's an extra charge for adding an egg. For the side dish, I chose the Sichuan Potato, a sweet-and-sour crispy fried potato dish topped with cilantro. While flavorful, it's quite carb-heavy and large in portion — better shared than eaten alone. Noodle soups are conveniently labeled with spice levels, making it easier to choose based on your heat preference. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the dining space is decorated with vivid Chongqing-style murals, showcasing elements of Southwestern Chinese culture and landmarks. Free WiFi is available, making it a relaxed place for a quick meal or casual hangout. However, parking can be tight during peak hours in the plaza, so plan accordingly. Overall, Spicy Noodle offers hearty portions, regional authenticity, and a calm dining experience—especially if you’re looking for a lesser-crowded Chinese dishes' option in Kearny Mesa.

  • Very good authentic chinese food. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You will be happy you did. A list of our favorite dishes: - Beef noodle soup tastes very clean and fresh. - Chongqing signature noodles. Packed with savory spice flavor. - Crispy pork. They give you chili powder as well to dip. Pairs well with rice. - Chili wontons are incredible. I think they are handmade there - they taste like they are. - Signature big meat on rice, pork is so flavorful and tender. - spicy cucumbers - chinese orange soda - much better than u.s. orange sodas.

  • This is an excellent spot for Sichuan comfort foods. Whenever I crave that numbing spice flavor, I come here and eat Chongqing noodles. The restaurant is very meticulous with the details and it shows in all the enhancements of flavor and texture. It's a family-owned restaurant and the owner is very involved and also just so personable. And parking is easy here. Good spot overall.

  • New review- Ordered Chongqing noodles, Wan Zha Mian, Sichuan cold noodles, spicy chicken, and crispy pork. Packaging was great, and noodles stayed fresh. Our favorite was the Wan Zha Mian—chewy with flavorful peas. Chongqing noodles were classic, and the cold noodles were sweet (too sweet for me). Spicy chicken was tender, but the crispy pork was too hard. Portions were big and prices reasonable! Previous review - I’m so happy SD has more and more authentic Chinese food here. This is my first time trying ChingQing style spicy noodles. It was spicy! But so delicious! If you are a spicy lover, you should try it! We also had a spicy braised beef noodles, it was not as spicy as their signature ChongQing spicy noodles. But they have a lot of beef inside, and they are perfectly cooked. Other than the noodles, I highly recommend the lightly fried pork tenders, they are so flavorful and meats are juicy! I love it. The dessert- sesame balls are amazing! They use sweet potato instead of starchy rice which is more healthy and delicious, there’s also yummy homemade red bean paste inside, it’s only $6 for 4. At last, we had a brown sugar jelly soup, so good! It’s only $5. Their price is really unbeatable.

  • First time at this cute restaurant, very welcoming, friendly staff. Place very clean and very well decorated. Food 100 out of 10, Amazing!!! I asked for the spicy beef soup and crispy pork, and both were freshly made, seasoned to perfection. What I regret if you ask me? Not coming here sooner!! Now this is going to be my favorite noodle place.
